2015 Athletics Hall of Fame Group

BSU Athletics Hall of Fame

The BSU Athletics Hall of Fame recognizes individuals and teams for outstanding contributions to the tradition of BSU Athletics. There are several categories in which former athletes, coaches and others may be honored. Nominations for the following Hall of Fame areas must be submitted by March 1 and honorees are selected by the BSU Alumni B-Club.     • Individual Athletes
    • BSU Coaches Hall of Fame: Individuals who coached an athletic team at Bemidji State
    • Alumni Coaching Achievement Award: Individuals who excelled in the coaching field after graduating from BSU
    • Teams
    • John Glas Honorary Letter Winner Award: Created in 2011 to recognize an individual or individuals who were not student-athletes at BSU but have had a major impact on BSU Athletics, much like the late John Glas did during his 34-year tenure at BSU, which included roles as vice president for finance and briefly as acting president. His strong support of athletics earned Glas the honor of having the Fieldhouse named after him upon his retirement in 1975.

B-Club Athletics Hall of Fame Athlete Nomination

Selection Criteria
B-Club Athletics Hall of Fame recipients are selected by the B-Club Advisory Council for distinguished athletic achievement while attending Bemidji State. Nominees must have attended BSU for at least two years and not have graduated from another university. *Special circumstances may apply Please do not use acronyms, abbreviations or jargon without a first-reference explanation. Any information written that is not understood by the council will be omitted.
Each question is evaluated and judged on a point scale, you must answer all questions completely. Nomination forms must be completed by the nominator. Please refrain from using acronyms, abbreviations and jargon. Applications are due March 1.

B-Club Coaches Hall of Fame Nomination

Selection Criteria
BSU Coaches Hall of Fame recipients are selected by the Athletic Hall of Fame Committee for distinguished coaching achievement while at BSU. The committee will also consider other professional accomplishments. Since each question is evaluated and judged on a point scale, you must answer all questions completely. The nomination form must be completed by the nominator. Please do not use acronyms, abbreviations or jargon without a primary reference.

The John S. Glas Honorary Letter Winner Award was created in 2011 and is intended to recognize an individual or individuals who were not student athletes at BSU, but who have had a major impact on BSU athletics, much like the late John Glas did during his 34-year tenure at BSU.
