Trudy Rautio
Bemidji State University Graduate 1975
Trudy Rautio graduated from Bemidji State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Upon graduation, she began her professional career as an accountant with Boise Cascade Corporation. In 1982 Trudy moved to the Pillsbury Company and worked there for nearly twelve years in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility including the Vice President of Finance for Green Giant Worldwide. During this time she also earned her MBA degree from the University of St. Thomas. In 1993 she joined Jostens Incorporated, first as a Vice President and Corporate Controller and then Senior Vice President of Finance. Trudy move to Carlson Companies in 1997 and has served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Carlson Hospitality Worldwide, President and Chief Operating Officer of Carlson Hotels, the Americas. She is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer where she is responsible for financial operations of the entire corporation. Trudy has been recognized numerous times for her professional success. In 2005 The Business Journal named her Woman Changemaker. In 2004 the National Association of Women Business Owners? Minneapolis Chapter recognized her with the Corporate Women of Achievement Award. In 2003 Trudy was honored with a Carlson Fellows award for special achievement and in 2001 she was named one of the Twin Cities Top Women in Finance by Finance and Commerce. Trudy is a member of several professional organizations and currently serves on the Board of HIRED, a non-profit organization assisting the unemployed. She has also served as a volunteer for the United Way and the American Heart Association. Trudy and her husband, Kevin, live in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
