Jeff Baumgartner

Bemidji State University Graduate 1977

Jeff graduated from Bemidji State University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Following graduation he was employed at Crest Electronics, a manufacturer of health care equipment, in the purchasing and sales department. Following his true nature as an entrepreneur, Jeff started American Time and Signal in 1980, with a focus on clock distributions. Jeff has grown this company into one of the nations largest clock manufacturers, employing over 100 people. Jeff spent 20 years as an active Rotarian, having served as a president of the Dassel / Cokato Rotary Club. As a Rotarian, Jeff made two trips to the Honduras as a volunteer with medical and dental teams. He was also a recipient of Rotary?s Paul Harris Fellow award, given out for international and community projects. In addition, Jeff spent several years volunteering as a high school and youth hockey coach. Inspired by the mentoring and educational foundation he received at BSU, Jeff has become a major contributor to the University, with primary financial support going to the Beaver Hockey program. Jeff and his wife, Kathy, have two grown children and live on Lake Julia, north of Bemidji.
