Bemidji State University Graduate 1988Boyd Bradbury graduated summa cum laude from Bemidji State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, minors in Anthropology and Philosophy and an emphasis in International Studies. He received his Masters of Arts degree in Teaching in 1991 and a Specialist?s degree in Educational Leadership in 1996, both from Mankato State University. He then received a Superintendent?s Endorsement from St. Cloud State in 1997. Boyd taught Spanish in the Wadena and Blue Earth public schools from 1991 through 1995, served as the principal of Benson High School from 1995 ?2000 and moved into the role of Superintendent of Waubun Public Schools in 2000 at the age of 33. Boyd has been very active in both professional and community organizations. He has been a member of the Minnesota River Valley Principals Association for five years, serving at the President from 1998 to 1999. He also served as a member of the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals, and is currently a member of the Minnesota Association of School Administrators, the Minnesota Association of School Business Officers and the Minnesota Rural Education Association. He served on the Minnesota Technology Taskforce in Benson from 1995-97, the Benson taskforce on the study of local hospitals from 1996-98, was the coordinator of the Annual Red Cross Blood Drive in Benson from 1995-2000 and served as the President of the Chippewa Valley Chapter of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association from 1996-98. Boyd has also been involved in the BSU Theta Tau Epsilon Fraternity Alumni Association, currently serving as its president. Boyd and his wife, Sharal, have two sons and live in Callaway, Minnesota.
