Dr. Gene Anderson

Bemidji State University Graduate 1963

Dr. Anderson graduated from Bemidji State College in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Science Education. He went on to earn a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. He did post-doctoral research in electron diffraction at the University of Oslo in Norway. Gene has spent the past 31 years of his professional career as a scientist and manager at the Dow Chemical Company. His duties have primarily included new product development based at Dow locations in Michigan, California, Louisiana and Switzerland. His current position is Global Research and Development Change Leader based at Dow's corporate headquarters in Midland, Michigan. Dr. Anderson is also a self-employed professional speaker, trainer, and magician, with presentations in 20 countries on six continents. Membership in professional organizations includes the Product Development Management Association, the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the National Speakers Association and the American Creativity Association
