Career and Professional Achievements

  • Former Vice President for Development at North Country Health Services.
  • Established and coordinated the North Country Health Services Foundation Endowment Program.
  • At NCHS, developed and implemented corporate marketing and public relations program, and facilitated corporate strategic planning.
  • Named to Associate Status in the American College of Health Care Executives.

Community Service

  • Member of the BSU Foundation Board of Directors
  • Former President and Campaign Chair for the Bemidji Area United Way.
  • Served on the Board of Directors, and former Vice President and Secretary of the Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce.
  • Former charter member of board and co-chair of the Bemidji/Blandin Partnership.
  • Co-founder of the Bemidji Area Volunteer Coordinators.
  • Member of the Bemidji Area Intergovernmental Relations Committee.
  • Past board member of the Minnesota Office of Volunteer Services.
  • Advisory board member for the Loonfeather Press, Upper Mississippi Mental Health Center, and the Area Committee on Non-Violence.
  • Former board member of the Minnesota Health Strategy and Communications Network.

Outstanding Service to Bemidji State University

  • While at NCHS, provided internships and shadowing experiences for Mass Communications students from BSU.
  • Member of the BSU Foundation.

Personal Achievements/Awards

  • Leader of the Year Award from North Country Health Services in 1981.
  • Graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors.
  • Graduated from BSU with M.A. Degree and 4.0 G.P.A.
