- Taught third and sixth grades at the Coleraine School District.
- Taught and served as Assistant Principal in the Bloomington School District.
- Served on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Education Association.
- Served as President for the MEA Uniserv Governance Board.
Served as Chairperson for the Evaluation Task Force and the Governmental Relations Council ? Bemidji Education Association. - Served as President, Research Chair, Legislation Chair, Chairperson, Secretary, and Member for the Delta Kappa Gamma, Mu Chapter.
