Career and Professional Achievements

  • Completed 35 years as a teacher, principal and central office administrator.
  • Author of two books, The Auxiliary Teacher Program-A Complete Guide and Manual and Personalized Reading Instruction, as well as several articles.

Community Service

  • President, Lutheran Laymen's League-Men's Club, Trinity Lutheran Church, 1990-1992.
  • Rotary Club, 1985-1990.

Outstanding Service to Bemidji State University

  • Served on the Alumni Board for 18 years; President, 1984-1985.
  • Served on the BSU Foundation for 15 years.
  • 1994 BSU Outstanding Service Award.
  • Part of several committees and employee searches.

Personal Achievements/Awards

  • Board Member, 1985; President, 1989-1990; and Past President 1990-1991, North American Association of Educational Negotiators.
  • Vice President, President-Elect, and President, North Dakota Department of Elementary Principles.
  • Five State Board Member, Association for the Evaluation of Elementary Schools, 1970-1972.

Humanitarian Service

  • Board Member, Big Brothers of Grand Forks County, 1969-1973.
