Outstanding Service to Bemidji State University
- While attending BSU, participated on the Women's Swimming and Tennis teams.
- Student Teaching, Geneva, Switzerland (Winter 1973) through a program between Moorhead and Bemidji State Universities.

Humanitarian Service
- UNECO Summer English Language Camp teaching in Poland during the summers of 1984, 1985, and 1990.
