- International Coach, Special Olympics, Brockport, N.Y., 1979; Stowe, VT, 1981; South Bend, IN, 1987.
- One of the Authors of a series of assessment manuals for adapted Physical Education.
- State Chairperson, Adapted Physical Education, Public and Private Schools at the collegiate level, 1980.
Community Service
- Taught adult "Bethel Bible Study" program, All Saints Lutheran Church, Minnetonka, MN, for 14 years.
Outstanding Service to Bemidji State University
- Launched a number of wrestling programs in Northern Minnesota, including Bemidji State in the 1950's.
Personal Achievements/Awards
- National High School Coach of the Year-Special Olympics, 1988.
- Upper Midwest Coach of the Year, 1983.
- Butch Nash Football Award, 1992.
- Awarded Scholarships: Taft Institute-Macalaster College, and Chinese Studies-Earlham College, and Project Social Studies-University of Minnesota.
- BSU Athletic Hall of Fame, 1979.
