• City Editor, Bemidji Pioneer Newspaper, Bemidji, MN.
• Managing Editor, International Falls Daily Journal.
• Owner, Pierce County Herald, Ellsworth, WI, 1978-1984.
• Half-owner, River Falls Journal, River Falls, WI.
• Board of Directors, Wisconsin Newspaper Association.
• M.S. University of Oregon, Newspaper Management.

Community Service

• Secretary and Past president, Bemidji Jaycees.
• Board member, Chamber of Commerce, Bemidji and International Falls.
• Worked with both Boy Scout and Girl Scout programs.
• Served one term on the Ellsworth Village Board.
• Was candidate for Wisconsin State Legislature, but had to withdraw from race, when purchased the River Falls Paper.

Personal Achievements/Awards

• Recipient, Bush Leadership Fellowship, received approximately $20,000 to study newspaper management at the University of Oregon, in 1977.
• One of the first two students to complete a Master's Degree in the area of Newspaper Management.
