• Teacher, Biology and Junior High Art, Bagley High School, for 19 years.

Community Service

• Member, Advisory Committee for opportunities in Science for Northern Minnesota, funded by Blandin Corporation and implemented by the Science Museum of Minnesota.

Outstanding Service to Bemidji State University

• Encourages students to participate in the Northern Minnesota Regional Science Fair, which is held at Bemidji State University.

• "Outstanding Dedication to Students and Teachers, "Minnesota Academy of Science for "Distinguished Service to Science."
• "Minnesota's Outstanding Biology Teacher of the Year," The National Association of Biology Teacher, 1982.
