  • Board of Directors Member, Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce for three years.
  • President, 1990; board member for five years, Bemidji Rotary Club, 1990.
  • Chair, Township Land Use Committee, 1978-1986.

Outstanding Service to Bemidji State University

  • Author, Bemidji State University Vocational Education Degree program.
  • Initiated off-campus delivery of BSU Industrial Technology in cooperation with Range task force on Higher Education.
  • Initiated Vocational teacher Education program for licensure requirements with cooperation with the State department of Education.
  • Author, Career Booklet of BSU majors?shared with all counselors in Minnesota.
  • Developed Courses and program materials for Science and Metallurgy.
