  • Northern Township Supervisor, Chairman of the Board for nine years.
  • Associate Editor for Northwest Dentistry, published by the Minnesota Dental Association, 1965-1985.

  • Past President, Bemidji Chamber of Commerce.
  • Past President, First Lutheran Church.
  • Past President, Rotary Club of Bemidji.
  • Resident member on Continuing Education, IDS #31, 1974.

Outstanding Service to Bemidji State University

  • Member, Bemidji State Teachers College Recruiting Team, for the Minnesota State Basketball Tournaments.
  • Past President, BSU Alumni Association.
  • Member, Host Committee, House Members of the Minnesota Legislative Building Commission, to fund BSU campus buildings, 1974.
  • Member, Business Development League for State College Communities, 1974.
  • BSU Search Committee Member, for Presidents Gillett, Duly, Bensen, and for VP Tiffany.
  • Past President, BSU Foundation Board of Directors, 1990.
  • Member, BSU Foundation Board of Directors, since 1975.
  • Testified to the Minnesota Senate Finance Committee Hearings to retain BSU.
